What is marketing:
Marketing is the most misunderstood word in the business glossary. It touches every part of an organization both internal and external, and oversees a product from inception to collecting data after the sale.

Robert W. Gilliard developed his passion for marketing while working at MembersFirst Credit Union of Florida. Within four months of working as a cashier, his talent for design caught the attention of the president. He was immediately promoted to the marketing department where he worked his way to the head of the department.

While working full time and volunteering on weekends, Robert continued his education at the University of West Florida. He received a Bachelors degree in Marketing and Business Management.

Honors and Awards:
Not only did Robert oversee the marketing, strategy, and budget of the Credit Union; He also facilitated communication from Management to employees and the membership via newsletters, advertisements, employee newsletters, memorandums, handbooks, websites and annual reports.

Using great organizational skills, a natural eye for design and his education; Robert juggled a one-man, full-service department. His work has won over 15 Awards from the national organizations of CUNA, CUES, VISA based on the financial success of these eye-catching campaigns.

Since his years at Membersfirst, Robert began his own personal marketing business where he consults with businesses and corporations to help them meet their goals. Robert still has strong ties to the Credit Union industry and counts MembersFirst as one of his clients.
